INTRODUCTION
The course of study shall be called Post Certificate B.Sc. Nursing (PC B.Sc),Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing (Post Basic) or Post B.Sc Nursing.
Post Basic Degree in Nursing is broad based education aimed to build upon the skill and competencies acquired at the diploma in nursing level. It is specifically directed to the up grading of critical thinking skill, competencies and standards required for practice of professional nursing & midwifery as envisaged in national health policy. The programe is intended to enable the graduates assume responsibilities as professional competent nurse & midwifery at basic level in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. The graduates made independent decision in nursing situation protect the right of the facilitating individuals and groups in pursuit of health function in the Hospital, Community Nursing Services and Conduct Research Studies in the practice. Post Basic B.Sc Nurse are also expected to assume the role of Teacher, Supervisor and Manager in Clinical/Health Setting.
ELIGIBILITY - Hold a diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
Be a registered nurse
Have a good personal & professional record
Not above 48 years of age on 31st December of the year
SELECTION
The candidate will be selected on merit. There will be a written test and subsequently an interview by a team of experts.
